"My first try at CELTA"

My first try at CELTA was last August but I felt like I wasn´t prepared well to take part in this course so I withdrew. When I saw the Gran Canaria centre was going to do an online CELTA course, I decided to give it a second chance.

The four weeks the course lasted were very hard but at the end, really satisfying and rewarding seeing the huge support and investment of time tutors gave us almost every day. The level of the course is obviously high but the progress made in those four weeks was amazing and to see how much you can learn in such a short time is impressive and very overwhelming, at least, for me.

As I said earlier, our two amazing tutors looked after us, supported us and encouraged us to keep going.

This course has not only helped me to get into my teaching skills (because teaching is something I have never done) but also it has helped me a lot more with my confidence and worthiness, in general. It was an also great opportunity to learn from practice, reflections and several observations we had in these four weeks.

Overall, this course (both online and in person) is a great experience I recommend.
