The teacher training centre in Valencia can offer accommodation in shared apartments for the trainees during the duration of their CELTA courses in Valencia. Applicants can discuss their accommodation needs during their interview with the CELTA course tutor, part of the free application process. Accommodation can cost in the region of 300 EUR/week.

Valencia and Surroundings

Valencia on Spain’s eastern coast is the third biggest city in the country with a population of just over a million.

Famous for its food (Valencia is home to paella and other typical rice dishes), music, ceramic craft-work and festivals (of which Fallas in March is the most spectacular). Valencia is also renowned throughout Spain for its lively nightlife.

The climate is perhaps the most ideal in Spain, with short, mild winters, average temperature 10º to 15º C. July and August are the hottest months with an average temperature of about 32ºC.

The central squares and streets of the old quarter boast of a time when Valencia was once the cultural and economic capital of the Mediterranean in the 15th and 16th centuries. However, Valencia is truly a modern city too, boasting ambitious urban projects and buildings in recent years, not least the magnificent City of Arts and Sciences.

The teacher training centre in Valencia is an established and prestigious centre that provides teacher training courses for both native and non-native speakers of English. The combination of experienced teacher trainers and a highly qualified, young teaching staff offers an interesting and exciting alternative for candidates who wish to train in Spain.



It is the only University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) approved centre for Teacher Training Courses in Valencia, offering CELTA courses for initial training.



The school is located near the university area of Valencia with a five minute underground ride to the city centre and seven minutes to the famous Malvarrosa beach. There is a good variety of bars, restaurants and take-aways in the immediate vicinity and most candidates choose to relax and have lunch on our outdoor patio.



The centre offers a highly professional working environment but at the same time both a friendly and supportive place to learn and study. There is Wi-fi and internet connection in every classroom, a substantial library and access to computers in the study areas.



The majority of the students are young adults from universities studying General English courses. However, the centre also caters for Business English and Younger Learners so trainees have a wide range of levels and focus for observation purposes.



The administrative staff are both efficient and understanding. Their degree of professionalism and pastoral support on teacher training courses have gained them deserved mention in previous assessors’ reports.
