I had an amazing experience, even though it was an intensive course. Every challenge led to professional and also personal growth.
I had a wonderful group of colleagues and our tutors, Flo and Chris for at the centre in Rome were always ready to help us and have us in the correct mind setting.
I also loved how we were able to get in touch with our students even if it had to be from behind a screen.
I felt like this experience helped me in fully finding my way and now I know for sure this is the career I want to pursue.

The teacher training centre in Rome was founded more than thirty years ago mainly to cater to the needs of the local schools. It expanded, however, to become the largest in Italy, in response to the growing demand for training courses in both state schools and private institutions. In 1997 the centre was one of the first in the world authorised by the University of Cambridge ESOL (now Cambridge English Language Assessment) to pilot their new Extension Course for Teachers of Young Learners. Over the years they have prepared more than three thousand candidates from all over the world for careers both in Italy and abroad.
The Rome training centre is located in the centre of the city, close to the Colosseum, San Giovanni in Laterano and the main railway station (Stazione Termini). Course participants have access to the training centre's fully equipped Self Study Centre and its extensive library of materials for lesson planning and reference. CELTA students are also provided with their own room that includes photocopying and IT facilities, and wi-fi is available in the whole premises.
