Jerez and Surroundings:

Jerez, or to say its full name, Jerez de la Frontera, is the largest city in the province of Cadiz, part of Spain's largest autonomous region, Andalusia. It is a beautiful location, just over 10km from the coast, with a population of just over 200,000 people. As well as the proximity to the coast and sandy beaches, just over 10km inland you can enjoy the Cadiz Mountains, and their rugged scenery.

An archetypal Andalusian city, Jerez is full of charm, sunshine and rich in culture. The fertile area around the city is ideal for wine, and Jerez is renowned as the world capital of sherry wine (fortified wine made from white grapes).

The city of Jerez has its own airport and you can fly into Jerez with several airlines. Other close-by airports are Malaga and Seville, meaning the city is easily accessible

For more information about Jerez, visit the official Spain tourism website page on the city.
