The teacher training centre in Dame Street was established in 1979 and is the oldest language school in the city. Over the past 40 years the centre has gained an international reputation as one of the leading English language schools in Ireland. The training centre offers:

The training centre offers a wide range of courses in Dublin, in a magnificent Georgian building in the heart of the city’s fashionable Temple Bar area, it is next to the Porterhouse Temple Bar and close to The Olympia Theatre and City Hall. Bus stop: Essex Quay. The centre is a large, well-equipped and modern school set in a beautiful historic building, and situated right in the heart of one of Dublin’s most desirable neighbourhoods. The school’s location gives our students access to the trendy bars and cafes, markets and live music venues of the Temple Bar area (Dublin 8).
The Trainers (Temple Bar):All trainers at the partner training centre in Dublin have been accepted by UCLES after having undergone an extensive trainer-in-training programme. Tutors are all practising teachers of English who divide their time between teaching and teacher training. They are highly qualified and experienced both as teachers and trainers and themselves take part in ongoing training programmes, such as attending conferences and in-house development sessions, in order to keep abreast of the cutting edge of the ELT profession. The tutors have worked internationally and bring a wide range of key experience, qualifications and knowledge to the course. All trainers undergo a rigorous selection and training process that is monitored by Cambridge University.
