Although I had taught English for several years before attending the CELTA Training Centre in Lisbon, I found that my month there working closely with the excellent tutors completely revolutionized the way I approached my work in the classroom. Every aspect of the teaching process, including planning, execution, teaching theory and resources, was covered in intricate detail, allowing me to gain a much deeper understanding of what it takes to be an effective teacher who can really improve their students through engaging and stimulating lessons.
Tutors were incredibly experienced and provided a constant source of support and knowledge whenever required. I received insightful and practical feedback on a daily basis which I was able to immediately incorporate into my teaching, leading to consistent improvement. The organization of the course was exceptional, with information and resources shared in a well-structured and considerate fashion. Without this approach, along with the careful guidance and reminders from tutors, the heavy workload would undoubtedly have been overwhelming.

More importantly, it allowed me to develop a much deeper affection for this work and a better understanding of the profession as a whole.
