The facilities were great. Trainees had access to everything we needed.
Everything was incredibly well organised and the tutors were supportive and encouraging throughout the course. They also, very importantly, set very realistic and clear expectations of what was required on a day to day basis. The feedback was always thorough and constructive and it was clear that the tutors really wanted all of the trainees to do well on the course.
I have only just started looking at jobs but already I can see how many doors this course has opened for me. The actual teaching practice is definitely going to be the most useful thing as you have a chance to try out all of the methodology you have learnt and what you have observed from watching experienced teachers. Most importantly, the detailed feedback you get after every lesson is so valuable in leading you in the direction of becoming the most effective EFL teacher that you can be.
I would advise to anyone interested in taking this course to be prepared to work extremely hard and to give up your life for the 4 weeks that you are on the intensive course. It will consume you but you will learn a fantastic amount and the achievement and opportunities available to you at the end will make it all worthwhile. The nature of the course is extremely fast paced so it is vital to be organised. Overall, if you make the most of each teaching practice opportunity and are responsive to feedback, you will thoroughly enjoy it.
