The month of CELTA training has just wrapped. I’m glad the grind is over but sad to leave my CELTA trainees and our wonderful students.
The CELTA is as intense as people say it is. Therefore, I worked very hard every day and night. But with the support of the tutors and my colleagues I never felt overwhelmed or burned out. Moreover, despite the intensity, I had a lot of fun.
Guus and Rebecca were an ideal balance of teaching styles. Their personalities complemented each other – Guus is cool, hilarious, and casually intense. Rebecca demands your all, yet is quick to nurture when necessary – and their approaches to teaching differed enough that we had a range of techniques within the well-honed CELTA format.
The centre here in Frankfurt is comfortable and calm. Credit to the manager Selam, who is a gem.
I highly recommend doing the CELTA in Frankfurt. I was a complete newbie at the beginning of the course and had no clue if I’d be able to lead a class. Through this CELTA, I’ve acquired tools to succeed and grow as an educator. I feel confident I can join the work force of EFL teachers and hold my own.
