The CELTA teacher training centre in Bari was founded in 2003 mainly to cater to the needs of local schools. It expanded and opened a second branch in 2013 and a third training centre soon followed in response to the growing demand for Cambridge courses in both State schools and private institutions.
In 2017 the centre was accredited by Cambridge English Language Assessment and prepares candidates for all levels of Cambridge Examinations as well as teacher training qualifications. The centre runs both paper-based and computer-based tests and also organises teacher training workshops and seminars.
Location and Facilities
Located in the centre of the city, this teacher training institute is served by the main railway station and two airports (either Bari or Brindisi) that provide easy access.
This teacher training centre is situated in a busy area of the city near to a host of bars, restaurants and local facilities; People can enjoy sushi restaurants, pizzeria places, bars, supermarkets, gyms, hairdressers, beauty salons, chemist. They are all 5 minutes walk away. There are many local beaches and beautiful places of interest such as Alberbello, Svevo Castle, Polignano that are all easily reachable. The centre would be happy to help students arrange some local visits.
The CELTA course participants have access to the training centre’s fully equipped Self Study area and its extensive library of materials for lesson planning and reference. CELTA students are also provided with their own photocopying and IT facilities. Wi-fi is available. The school also provides each candidate with a laptop for in-house use during the course. The school can help arrange airport transfers at reasonable prices. This service is available upon request.
