Aberdeen and Surroundings
Located in north east Scotland, between the mountains and the sea lies the city of Aberdeen also known as the "Silver City". The distinctive silver charm of the many granite buildings and monuments sets this city architecturally apart from the rest of Europe. The harbour that has shaped Aberdeen continues to be a bustling place for not only ships but also for marine life especially Bottlenose Dolphins. For those interested in exploring Scotland’s past, Aberdeenshire is an enchanting region. It is well-known for having the most castles per acre in the UK and the dramatic landscape surrounding these castles have offered the perfect backdrop for storytellers such as Bram Stoker and Walt Disney.
