The centre has library and all the resources the candidates will need during the course. Course materials and facilities will be provided, for example binders. You can use the printers and the internet for your studies. The school also offers use of a pantry that candidates can access if they wish to bring their food during the entire duration of the course. There are also plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area within walking distance.
Teacher Training Centre Dubai (Sheikh Zayed Road)
The centre in Dubai is located on Sheikh Zayed Road in a modern office building close to the city centre, with easy access from both downtown and the airport. It's just up the road from the Al Zahra Hospital in Barsha 1, near the famous Palm Jumeirah.
The facilities include a library with all books required by CELTA trainees. The centre has Wi-Fi, and trainees can bring in their own computers to access this.
There are also kitchen facilities and there is a coffee shop downstairs in the same building.
During the CELTA course there is time devoted to provide you with useful information about how, where and when to look for teaching work after the course, in Dubai and all around the world. The CELTA qualification is the most prestigious and the most well-known of all the TEFL courses, and is recognised all over the world, not just in the UAE. This means that with the CELTA qualification, numerous TEFL job opportunities are available all over the world.
CELTA qualified teachers are in demand in Dubai. Schools and universities tend to open around September time, so spring and summer are good times to start job hunting. What's more, interviews are often done in advance from the candidate's home country, and their visa processed prior to departure. Bear in mind that for those who are not based in Dubai, a visa normally takes 1-3 months to be processed.
We encourage trainees to keep in touch with us after they have finished their course, either so we can advise them on how to go on to do the Delta course, or give advice on finding work.
