About the Delta Modules

Module One

The Online-Blended practical sessions for Module 1 are every Friday.

Module Two

This module is about Practical Teaching. It focuses on your awareness and expertise in professional practice in a range of contexts and is tested by 5 practical assignments that involve written work and observation by a tutor of your teaching on a number of occasions. The lessons you teach are with specially arranged classes at our centre.

The course is every Friday from 13:00pm - 19:00pm.

Module Three

Consultations for the online blended course are every Friday.

Delta Content

Delta courses are delivered in 2 basic ways around the world: online and face to face. These combined give a third format of delivery: blended learning. Although applicants can take the modules in any order, we recommend that the modules are completed in chronological order so that maximum professional development is achieved.

The Rome training centre provides the following modules:

Module One

This module requires 16 weeks of study in two modes of delivery: online or blended. The online option requires basic computer skills in order to complete 16 online tasks and two mock exams. The blended learning option involves 16 online tasks, two mock exams and 8 face to face two-hours seminars.

Module Two

This module is delivered face-to-face and requires two systems essays (2,000-2,500 words), two skills essays (2,000-2,500 words), a two-part Professional Development essay (2,000-2,500 words each part), planning, delivering, reflection on and evaluation of 5 lessons (45-60mins), 10 hours observation, reflection and evaluation of professional teaching.

Module Three

Module Three is delivered either on a distance learning or a blended learning basis. The blended learning course involves 4 two-hour seminars and 20 online tasks which are followed up by 3 hours of consultancy during the drafting/editing process of the final assignment until final submission (Extended Assignment 4,000-4,500 words). The distance learning option does not include the seminars.

For all the modules, extra consultations can be booked at a price of € 100,00 per hour.
