Cambridge ESOL ensures that all CELTA courses meet their standards regarding curriculum and methods of assessment. Cambridge-appointed assessors visit every CELTA course in the world to ensure standardization.

Our Teacher Training Center for the Full Time CELTA in Toronto has been one of Canada's most active CELTA centres since 1996. The Teacher Training Center Toronto runs 11 CELTA courses per year, and is therefore visited 11 times per year by Cambridge assessors.
The Training Centre offers bright, modern facilities. Within the CELTA centre there is a resource room containing a wide collection of textbooks and teacher resource books from all the major ELT publishers. We also have visual aids, audio materials, props, audio-visual equipment and computers.
Part Time CELTA Course and TESL Course in Toronto, Canada
Location: Toronto CBD, near the University.
The Training Center that provides the TESL Course in Toronto is registered in Ontario as a Private Career College with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU). The TESL Diploma program provided in Toronto is recognized by TESL Canada, assuring that the course content, delivery, and practicum meets industry standards and that all employees involved in the program have the proper qualifications.

Full Time CELTA Course: All CELTA course trainers are highly experienced teachers who have undergone extensive preparation in order to qualify as CELTA tutors and are approved by Cambridge ESOL. They have completed both the CELTA and DELTA qualifications and have many years of both teaching and training experience.
Part Time CELTA Course: Our course instructors for the part time CELTA are CELTA and DELTA graduates, as well as MA in TESOL graduates. Each instructor is a qualified CELTA tutor with more than 10 years of experience in teaching English as a second language and in teacher training.

If you require accommodation in Toronto, the Teacher Training Centres can arrange accommodation for you. As we have two different providers for courses, we have two sets of accommodation options.

Full Time CELTA Course Accommodation Options
The Teacher Training Center for the Full Time CELTA in Toronto provides 3 types of accommodations at an additional cost.
NB: Please note that further information on availability and pricing are provided upon request at interview.
NB: A placement Fee in accommodation of $210 CAD applies.
Homestay (includes half board 7 days a week)
Homestay gives you the best value for living in Canada and allows you a first-hand look at Canadian home life. Homestays are located a maximum 60 minutes from the Training Centre by public transit.

- available from the Saturday before the course start to the Saturday after the course end
- private Bath Homestay and Homestay Internet Service are both available for an additional fee
Special note: Students arriving or departing outside of Saturday must pay extra night charges. Lunch and snacks are not included in the homestay service; students usually spend about $10 Canadian per day, depending on their tastes. Internet and Private bath are not guaranteed and required an extra cost.

Airport transfer
An airport transfer can be offered for $100 CAD (Price per person; one way).
Part Time CELTA Course and TESL Course Accommodation Options
The Teacher Training Center for the Part Time CELTA Course and TESL Course in Toronto provides the following accommodations at an additional cost.
- All Residences are cleaned weekly.
- All fees are per student and not per room. Double occupancy means two people sharing the same room and bed.
- All fees in Canadian Dollars.
- Linen is included in all residences.
- Availability is based on a first come, first serve basis and space is limited. Please send us your residence request well in advance
