It was a very interesting experience to be back in the place of a learner. As a teacher, you can become a bit distanced and your methods can become stale. This course made me re-examine my style and methods and rid myself of some lazy habits. Finishing the CELTA course raised my self-esteem and my confidence and I was lucky enough to get a job very soon after finishing the course.
I loved the way the CELTA tutors made us do the tasks, rather than just tell us about them.
I have remembered so many lesson ideas due to that. The mix of people was fascinating – all very different, yet we bonded well and supported each other greatly. I liked doing teaching practice with real foreign students and although it was nerve wracking, we were among friendly, supportive tutors and classmates.
