The Training Centre
The training center is part of a lively modern language school with an international atmosphere, with two centres in the heart of Seville, offering a wide variety of general language and specialist courses in English, Spanish, French, German and Chinese, as well as Teacher Training for English and Spanish teachers.
It is one of the longest-running and most successful Spanish language schools in Spain, and one of the largest English language teaching centres in Andalucia.
The Teacher Training center was approved by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) as a centre for Cambridge courses in 1998.
Facilities
There are a total of over 35 classrooms, video and lecture rooms, a multi-media study centre and library and a specialist language bookshop.
Candidates on Teacher Training courses will have full access to school facilities, including a well-stocked study room and library, a mini-library of EFL methodology books, free computer and internet access and free photocopying.
Staffing at the Teacher Training Centre in Seville
All trainers on our courses have been accepted by UCLES after having undergone an extensive trainer-in-training programme. Tutors are all practising teachers of English who divide their time between teaching and teacher training. They are highly qualified and experienced both as teachers and trainers and themselves take part in ongoing training programmes, such as attending conferences and in-house development sessions, in order to keep abreast of the cutting edge of the ELT profession.
Accommodation
If you wish our Accommodation Officers to organise your accommodation for the duration of your course, you will need to apply for it in your application form.
If you book accommodation, you will either share a flat with other trainees or with Spanish people, unless you require another type of accommodation (host-family, own apartment, student residence, hotel or hostel).
Sharing with other trainees allows you to study together outside course hours and share ideas.
If preferred, sharing an apartment with Spanish people is also available. This could be the perfect opportunity for you to immerse yourself in Spanish culture and make use of your Spanish language skills outside the classroom.
Students normally arrive the day before the course starts and leave the accommodation the day after the courses finishes.
Fees
Please, see below, the accommodation options that we can offer in Seville:
- Option 1: Accommodation in single room in a shared apartment, sharing with local Spanish professional people, for 9 weeks costs a total of 990 € all bills included (or 110 € per week - depending on if you enrol for the 3 modules or not, that is to say if you stay in Seville for 9 weeks or for less time).
- Option 2: Alternatively, you can choose, accommodation in single room in a shared apartment or students’ house, sharing with other DELTA or CELTA Trainee, for 9 weeks costs a total of 1.170€ all bills included (or 130€ per week depending if you enrol for the 3 modules or not, therefore, if you stay in Seville for 9 weeks or less time)
- Extra night of accommodation: 30€ (shared flat with other trainees option), or 21€ (shared flat with local Spanish professional people option).
Accommodation Conditions
- In order to secure your accommodation, within seven days of being offered a place on the course, a deposit of 20 -25% of the accommodation total cost is required alongside the course deposit.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- The balance of the accommodation fees needs to be paid together with the balance of the course fees at least 6 weeks before the course commencement date.
- Accommodation is booked from the Sunday before the course until the Saturday after the course, unless applicants require otherwise.
- We will send you your accommodation address by e-mail two weeks before the course, if not before.
- Accommodation will be booked for the time indicated on the application form and can only be cancelled with a minimum of 6 weeks advance warning.
Airport Transfer
Cost: 1 way - 50 €
Roundtrip - 90 €.
A member of StudyCELTA will pick you up from the airport in Seville and will take you to your accommodation. If requested, the return service is also available.
