About the Training Centre in London
The Teacher Training Centre in London provides a range of courses for teachers of English and for people planning a career in English Language Teaching (ELT). The Teacher Training Center in London is one of the best-known and most popular centres for teacher training in the UK. More than 1,500 teachers have trained with us.
The Training Centre offers an exciting central London location just a few meters away from Oxford Street with world-famous shopping and sightseeing to enjoy.
You will receive training and support from fully qualified and experienced ELT professionals. You will also have access to library resources including professional books, publications, multimedia titles and Internet access.
We are known to employers worldwide for the thoroughness and reliability of our teacher training programmes.

Academic Administrator: The Academic Administrator will be your main input session tutor and has overall responsibility for the general administrative running of your course. They will also be available to help with any academic difficulties or practical problems you may have with the course.
Input Tutors: Other members of our teacher training team will also be providing input sessions on your course. This allows us to ensure that you are exposed to the greatest possible variety of ideas and teaching techniques.
Teaching Practice Tutors: Each small group of trainees will have its own personal Teaching Practice Tutor. They will observe you teach and help you to analyse and develop your classroom teaching skills. It is important that you develop an in-depth awareness of your own abilities as a teacher, and are exposed to a wide variety of approaches and ideas. In order to achieve this, you will normally have one tutor for the first part of your course and a different one for the second part of the course.
During your course with us we aim to provide you with a high quality course which equips you with the skills needed to become a successful English language teacher.
Employment and Job Counselling
During the course, specially, during the CELTA course, there is time devoted to provide you with useful information about how, where and when to look for teaching work after the course in UK and all around the world.
We encourage trainees to keep in touch with us after they have finished their course. Please make an appointment with the Director of Studies if you would like to discuss job-hunting strategies and any other aspects of your new career.

Homestay
Make the most of your stay in London with carefully selected homestay accommodation. You will feel at home and be able to practise your English in friendly surroundings. You will have a single room, and you can choose between 3 meals options: Self catering (you cook for yourself), breakfast only, or breakfast and dinner. Double rooms at homestay are only available if you are coming with another person at the same time and leaving at the same time. The Training Centre London is Zone 1.

Student Residences in London
Friendship House - Southwark
Friendship House is a new, architect designed, self-catering residence. Well situated in historic Southwark it is close to a number of underground stations including Southwark, Elephant and Castle, Borough and Waterloo, giving easy access to both the City and the West End. The Tate Modern Gallery, the Globe Theatre and Southwark Cathedral are in easy walking distance.
The House has accommodation for 179 residents in en-suite bedrooms, mostly single but with some double bedrooms and nine rooms designed for residents with physical disabilities.
The House is attractively designed with two lounges and a TV room overlooking a water feature, a garden room and a quiet room. Self catered kitchens are provided for groups of ten residents who provide their own food and cooking utensils. There are two lifts, a laundry and vending machines.
Please note that Friendship House has cabled internet access in each room.
Bowden Court - Notting Hill Gate
Bowden Court is well situated in a quiet residential street, yet close to the bustle of Notting Hill Gate with its famous Portobello Road street market and in easy walking distance of Kensington Gardens, Bayswater and Holland Park. Notting Hill Gate underground station is close by.
The House has accommodation for 272 residents in a combination of one, two and three bedded rooms. A large dining room is situated on the lower ground floor and facilities include a TV room, lounge, study room, Internet access, laundry and vending machines. There is a garden area for residents’ use.
Regina House - Gloucester Road:
Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are to the north with Chelsea to the south. Regina House is situated in a very sought after location, close to Gloucester Road underground station and near to Imperial College, the Royal Albert Hall and Exhibition Road with its museums.

Summer Residences
We have a great selection of residences available only during summer, allowing us to offer accommodation to everyone's taste. Located in zone 1 all of our summer residences enjoy a commute of less than 30 minutes, giving you the least hassle possible on your journey to the college. The residences are modern and refurbished to an international standard.

A private taxi will meet you at the airport and take you directly to your accommodation.

Please note: If the driver needs to wait for you for more than 1 hour there will be a surcharge which needs do be paid by the student at the school.
