Teacher Training in Dublin, Ireland
The Teacher Training Centre and Trainers in Dublin, Ireland
The Teacher Training Center is located in the Dublin city center and is linked to one of the largest language teaching schools in Ireland.
The Center is committed to implementing high standards of quality and innovation in education and training and is accredited by University of Cambridge ESOL to run courses such as CELTA and DELTA.

The Center is also accredited by EAQUALS, an association of language training providers adhering to a demanding set of criteria for membership and committed to the achievement of excellence in the area of language teaching.
Accredited by the Irish Department of Education and Science as a school for the teaching of English as a foreign language, and is inspected by ACELS (the Advisory Council for English Language Schools).
The Trainers
All trainers at the Training Center in Dublin have been accepted by UCLES after having undergone an extensive trainer-in-training programme. Tutors are all practising teachers of English who divide their time between teaching and teacher training. They are highly qualified and experienced both as teachers and trainers and themselves take part in ongoing training programmes, such as attending conferences and in-house development sessions, in order to keep abreast of the cutting edge of the ELT profession.
The tutors have worked internationally and bring a wide range of key experience, qualifications and knowledge to the course. All trainers undergo a rigorous selection and training process that is monitored by Cambridge University.

Accommodation
OPTION 1: Homestay accommodation for adult students:
Host family accommodation is available on a half-board or breakfast only basis.
The host families may be 'traditional' families with children, young couples with no children, single-parent families and retired couples whose children have left home.
All host families are carefully selected and visited by the Accommodation Office and agree to the following conditions for our students:
- To provide students with single rooms (unless a twin room has been requested by 2 people booking together)
- To provide basic laundry facilities and to change bed linen regularly
- To make a daily bath or shower available
- To provide an adequate continental breakfast each day
- To provide a substantial dinner each night and a light lunch at weekends for students who have booked the half-board option
- To provide students with a door key so that they can let themselves in and out
Arrival and Departure Days:
Students should arrive to their host family on the Saturday or Sunday before the course starts until the Saturday or Sunday after the course ends. Extra nights are usually available on request at an extra cost.
Airport Transfers:
The Training Center offers an airport transfer service from Dublin Airport to our host families on arrival only at a charge of €75.
Location:
The host families live outside the city centre in houses with gardens in the suburbs of Dublin. The majority of our families live in residential areas on the south side of the city within 1 bus ride of the school.
Most students go to school each day on public transport (bus/train). The journey time takes approximately 40-50 minutes, though this may be longer at peak traffic times. Please note that family accommodation is not available in the city centre.
Meals:
Accommodation is available on a breakfast only or half board basis. If the student is a vegetarian or needs to follow a special diet, please give details on the application form and we will do our best to find a family that can provide the special requirements.
Laundry and Bed Linen:
Bed linen is provided but students should bring their own towels. Laundry can be included with the family wash unless special care is required such as hand washing or dry cleaning, in which case, a student should take care of his or her own laundry.
Pets:
The majority of Irish families have at least one pet, usually a cat or dog. Often the animal lives outside in the garden. Only those students who are afraid of, or allergic to animals should request a house without pets as, during the peak season in particular, it can be quite difficult to find a family without animals.
